A letter exchange between Boris Johnson and a seven-year-old girl who cancelled her birthday party in lockdown has re-surfaced amid reports the PM had a party for his own special day.
In March 2020 the Prime Minister praised young Josephine for cancelling her birthday party because of the coronavirus pandemic.
Josephine, who turned seven, wrote to Mr Johnson to tell him she was "staying at home because you asked us to".
The little girl, who lives in Stubbington, Hampshire, said she made the decision in the hope it will help prevent Covid-19 spreading further.
But last night reports emerged that just months later, Mr Johnson had his own birthday party. And now the Crime Minister, his wife, Rishi Sunak and 50 of Johnson's staff have been issued fixed penalty notices for breaching covid laws that they made and broke. Meanwhile the Police has not concluded their investigations and more fines will be issued.
What is more the Crime Minister lied to the people, to parliament and the bereaved, stating on several occasions that all guidelines were followed. He also denied there were parties, then he denied he attended in his own house, paid for by the taxpayer. He then commissioned a Sue Grey report that only gave a interim findings of failed leadership as the Metropolitan Police were pressurised into investigating.
He has paid the fine, he refuses to resign. He is the 1st prime minister in 300 years to be found guilty of a criminal offence and get fined.
