Johnson shows a complete lack of coherence. Johnson and Raab looked like scared rabbits in the headlights yesterday in the recalled House of Commons Afghanistan debate.
Theirs’s was a 4th Division performance in front of a packed House and even their own kind fired volleys from behind their backs, in particular Theresa May and Ian Duncan Smith.
Time and time again Boris Johnson is shown up to be a flop , a failure, a nincompoop, yesterday was probably his worse performance yet. As for Raab, he was clearly chosen, because he has a minute level of intelligence, and a sun tan, not even knowing how busy Dover was at Brexit time.
Neither of them had any coherent policy on the withdrawal from Afghanistan, no plans, no preparation, no nothing in the 18 months they were given by ex President Chump.
By no means the only problem, this is a significant problem with Boris Johnson and his sycophants, he never has a coherent policy. Last night it was interesting seeing the comments on his sites from former supporters angry at letting Afghans into Britain. Of course Boris Brexit was all about fascism and racism, anti immigration. NOW the penny is dropping with the Tory voters “you lost my vote, letting all those Afghans in”.
Let’ s face it Boris and his sycophants could not organise a piss up in a brewery. Immigration policy “we don’t want foreigners”. “We don’t want dinghies”. “WE pay £50m to France to stop them, it is not our money it is taxpayers’ money, but it is our mistakes. WE don’t want EU citizens, we hate Europe, but we like India, Kenyan nurses, and Russian donors and anyone else with a fat wallet regardless of nationality”. If that is coherent, I am a dutchman wearing clogs on my head.
Coherent Brexit brings red tape, trade barriers, a Northern Ireland threat to peace, and Brexodus, which means no parcels and less food, more empty shelves in your supermarkets, staff shortages in NHS. It also kills industries and businesses, jobs and tax revenue. Then there is the jeopardy to the future of the Union. Again Johnson throws taxpayers’ money at his mistakes. The fisherman are going bust, “oh give them £23m to shut them up”. The Farmers are going bust, “oh chuck £100,000 at them we will buy their farms.”
Johnson’s mind is still at the Bullingdon Club, “oh things got out of hand and we trashed the joint, sling daddy’s money at the restaurant owner keep him quiet” .
For 20 months there was no coherent policy regarding Coronavirus, just knee jerk, last minute U turns, while the bodies piled high and are still piling.
Even his much heralded vaccine rollout has gone quiet . Instead Johnson washes his hands of it and it is nothing to do with hygiene, just freedumb..
What must worry the Tories now is that a 5% swing will see 75 of them lose their seats and queue up for the reduced universal credit.
A Johnson policy is based on a wing and a prayer, not attention to detail and consideration of the consequences. That is simply beyond his limited mentality.
After the international disgrace and debacle of Afghanistan, and the Johnson defensive position yesterday, it is not only Tory voters, that are getting angry. I would not be surprised if the mutterings behind his back soon turn to knives, already the Daily Fail have had pops at him . After all if most intelligent people can see he is a gross liability, there will come a time when the lesser intelligent of the ENGLISH species realise it too.
