Why Does Boris Lie ??
People who lie repeatedly often have a desire to be in control. When the truth of a situation doesn't agree with such control, they produce a lie that does conform to the narrative they desire.
Such people may also worry they won't be respected if the truth can leave them looking poorly. Instead, they offer a lie that casts them in a good light, but they aren't able to see, that in most cases, that what they offered has no basis in reality. Here are some reasons for Boris to lie: To exercise power over others by controlling the information the target has. Famously embodied by H i t l e r, this is arguably the most dangerous motive for telling lies. To avoid embarrassment. To get out of an awkward situation.
To win the admiration of others. Telling lies to increase your popularity
To obtain a reward not otherwise readily obtainable.
To avoid being penalised.
Boris has been a liar all his life.
A pathological liar tells lies and stories that fall somewhere between conscious lying and delusion. They sometimes believe their own lies. It's difficult to know how to deal with a pathological liar who may not always be conscious of their lying.
Boris's most famous “false or misleading claim” in recent years was the Brexit bus lie that we pay £350 million a week to the European Union. This claim dismissed by Sir David Norgrove of the UK Statistics Authority as “a clear misuse of official statistics.” The man in the bus, Boris Johnson, still has never corrected that claim and, like Donald Trump, he has a track record in the less-than-completely-honest department. He was fired by The Times newspaper for making up quotes and effectively dismissed for being “economical with the truth” when Michael Howard was Tory leader. His “do or die” Brexit deadline, his lying down in front of Heathrow bulldozers and building various bridges over the Thames and elsewhere plus airports on the sea have all been more evident in the bluster than in the achievement. Boris has lied at school, work, the home, and in politics. Johnson has lied on numerous occasions about statistics, Brexit, Coronavirus and poverty.
Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson has now normalised lying, to the extent he has made himself a role model for it and a lack of morality. Something to worry about when rearing children.
It seems that he is protected by the House of Commons hierarchy and standing orders. It seems that the Church will not call him to account either. Of course his own party turn a blind eye and deaf ear to it al as do the Brexiteers. He has been called disingenuous, duplicitous as well as dishonest and a fleeting attention to truth.
BUT, though others fail to call him for what he is , not here in this Group and wherever you want to SHARE this post. You may want to write to your MP, your local paper, a national paper, your religious leader, or simply share to your friends, family and colleagues.
By any stretch of the imagination Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson's deception is criminal and unacceptable and has no place in public life. .
