Tomorrow I am hosting an on line meeting proposing a new political party, the People 1st, for the people, for the benefit of the people where people come 1st not last.

Now there are the negatives as I call them that say, no chance, don’t need a new party. I will say to them, yes we do. Britain needs to reverse decades of mis management by the established political parties. Britain is in a mess, in £2.7 trillion debt, high taxation, poor public services, poor exports, a balance of payments in the red, rampant inflation and no control at the helm. Britain is also isolated and lost.

There was a time after the second world war, that Britain won, when the Austin Cambridge was the most used taxi in the world. Britain was in debt caused by the war, but the birth place of the Industrial Revolution was making things and selling them. Taxes were as high then as they are now. Japan , who lost the war was allowed to assemble parts to make the Austin Cambridge to help rebuild it’s flattened industry. The Car maker became Datsun, then Nissan, that still makes cars and Austin does not exist anymore. In fact no British Conveyor belts produce British Cars anymore. Jaguar and Land Rover are Indian owned. Italy, France , Germany have car industries, Margaret Thatcher sold our last one Rover to BMW for £1. The Mini is still made, but now in Germany. Britain gave the world front wheel drive, the 5 speed gearbox. Britain allowed the world to copy and improve the quality, whilst British Factories produced more workers’ strife than cars and Margaret Thatcher got fed up with them and sold them off. So too Utility companies and John Major followed her examples. Now Britain relies on service industries and Brexit has completely fu*ked up trade with exports down to 1955 levels. Prices rocket because Britain has lost control, selling all it’s assets to the highest foreign bidders. Now tell me what political party wants to re nationalise the railways, buses, electricity, gas, water, oil companies and reverse Brexit? In case, you do not know the answer is nobody.
You may say , no point in going backwards, to which I would say, well if going forward is in the wrong direction, we need to stop, consult the map and find out where the hell we went wrong and get back on track.

Britain is not working. The British may be going out to work, but for what, to pay bills. What does the future hold?
In addition, Britain is corrupt, the government is corrupt as well as being fascist, what is being done to bring the likes of Boris Johnson and Matt Hancock to trial for 200,000 covid deaths? Nothing. Nor will it, until there is a change in Westminster, where the majority of MPs currently have their own agenda, their own vested , self interests, and those interest do not coincide with yours.
There are protestors being arrested, but not the politicians that cause the protests. There are marches and strikes, picket lines, but where are the 650 MPs? Do they listen? Do they Act?

I created this People 1st Group when Labour voted for Boris Johnson’s Brexit. It looks like now we have to form a political party and get people to join us and get Britain back on track, because who ever wins the next election, they are not going to cure Britain’s ailments. They might have a box of band aid sticking plasters, but the problems are more deep rooted and require surgery. The Tories have pushed Britain backwards, even to Victorian , medieval values, that is the goal of fascist neoliberalism. The House of Commons allows it all to play out, every day is a crisis and many think most MPs are out of touch. Westminster is in a bubble . Probably why 1 in 3 voters do not vote. That is a dreadful indictment. It is about time in the 21st Century that the people of Britain came 1st not last. Thanks 4 reading.
