As basic foods are going up in price at alarming rates in the UK, it did not take a brain of Britain to forecast this.
Yet the UK Government lied to the people when it forecast Brexit would bring cheaper Prices.
So let us first dissect the lies told by Politicians who called economists world wide, project fear merchants. The same Politicians who did not want to pay tax on their money stashed in tax havens overseas, a law coming into force in the EU. Britain was a member of the richest trade block in the world, the EU. Its GDP , its exports, it's balance of payments thrived since the 1970s when it joined. Hitherto the Economy was in ruins and inflation with interest rates at record highs. Prices and mortgages going up and up. It cost people 37p a day to belong . In return billions of £s was ploughed into regeneration of regions and industries. Environment and Consumer laws gave the Brits a higher standard of living as well.
So the EU gave us peace and prosperity. Exactly what Churchill had advocated in 1949.
BUT Boris Johnson knew better. The former Brussels correspondent for the Daily Telegraph who invented fake news about the EU and it's regulations. Laws that were necessary for free trade and harmony. From a lying journalist he crossed over to lie in politics, lead the Leave Campaign and all their prophecies are now shown up to be completely false, when it is too late. The public did not listen to experts they listened to vested, self interest lies. They read the lies and tory propaganda in the right wing press who told them to vote Brexit as if they were shepherds herding a flock of sheep.
