MISCONDUCT IN PUBLIC OFFICE (EXECUTIVE SUMMARY).pdf

Mike Mansfield QC report blames the Government. Misconduct in Public Office is a Common Law Offence. Johnson and Hancock and others need to be arrested.

The Government’s handling of the pandemic was grossly negligent and has unquestionably led to significant loss of life that could and should have been avoided. Those in charge during the pandemic showed a wilful disregard for public safety and a callousness toward the numbers of people who have died and their bereaved relatives. We ask that the Government accepts and acts on our findings, and implements the recommendations set out in our report. It is not too late for some good to emerge from the pandemic. Lessons are clear, and can and should be learned. With political will and public support, social and health inequalities could be tackled. We could see the NHS and other public services properly funded saved from the brink of collapse. Only in this way can we keep the nation safe and protect it from a repeat of the current catastrophic public health disaster we have documented here. “Is it worthy of condemnation? Has it damaged the public interest? The answer is – yes,” Mansfield says, about the Government’s response to the pandemic.“ Whatever can be said about the vaccine, it doesn’t absolve” Johnson and his Cabinet for their other misconduct, he adds.

Such a high-profile case would need to be considered by the Director of Public Prosecutions, Mansfield says, and would need to be pursued by the Metropolitan Police – on the basis of the evidence presented by the People’s COVID Inquiry.

At the very least, Mansfield says, the Director of Public Prosecutions would be wise to reflect on how to approach accusations of misconduct against the Prime Minister and his Cabinet.“ A number of people are already thinking about this, in general terms,” Mansfield says – in relation to potential legal cases against the Government.

In the only real inquiry so far into 20 months of mismanagement of the Coronavirus pandemic by the UK Government and it's damning report of their misconduct in public office, where is the MSM coverage ?????? Yes there was a Parliamentary committee hearing coverage mainly due to Dominic Cummings testimony. The same committee let Matt Hancock off lightly 2 weeks later. Lessons to be learned also lessons on how to hold a committee of inquiry . So we have coverage in : Huffington post
