Britain today is suffering the longest peacetime slump in decades. The economy has seen a double-dip recession for the first time since 1975. Britain is not ready and able to cope with more austerity with surprising echoes of the 1970s suffering the same social and political upheaval that emerged from that decade.
Boris Brexit Britain is going back 50 years to the 1970s.
In the 70's Conservative Heath, and Labour Wilson wanted to join Europe to save their economy from rampant inflation, high interest rates, poor productivity, lack of investment, unemployment, petrol queues, black outs, the 3 day week, mountains of rubbish in the streets. What followed was 47 years of prosperity in comparison. The cost 37p per person per day and 2% of Govt expenditure. One of the top 3 players in Europe.
There were better opportunities, improved quality of life, better legislation for ordinary people and safeguards. There were allies and lucrative free trade. Boris lied about Brexit, purely for personal gain. The gullible believed him.
Now look at what a mess Britain is in, every day lurching from one crisis to another. The 6th wealthiest nation in the world in chaos and confusion for 2 years even 5 years ever since the moron popped up, blustering and blundering.
It is not just that Boris cannot cope, he ignored all the advice, all the projections, all the forecasts. He committed economic suicide and no one could cope making the same decisions, except there is only one maniac called Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson. Now he has admit, when it is too late that he never had an idea since 2016, how to unravel 47 years of life. There was nothing to fixit for Brexit.
Now he spends more taxpayers money on patching up Brexit mistakes, than membership cost. Now industries, not just businesses are collapsing, and ordinary folk suddenly realise they can't get things that they used to, and cash is getting squeezed. Brexit caused Brexodus, and if Johnson is trying to throw more taxpayers money at the labour shortages, he has to realise he has alienated Europeans, who are quite happy to watch him sink and say no to his u turns and temporary visa waving. Johnson wanted self imposed isolation, dreams of nationalism, and dictatorship.
Brexiteers wanted his fairy tale, Boris in Wonderland. His own side and own media are now turning on him, because people are slowly waking up to the fact he is a fraud, a con man, as well as being completely incompetent, along with all his cloud 9 chums.
There ain't no sunshine on uplands when the EU is gone.
