A Fragmented Britain
Britain is a deeply divided country and the division gets worse day by day. It is not just Boris Johnson to blame, 10 years of Tory Austerity took away public services from those that needed it most , taken away by those that did not care.
However Johnson thrives on division, like a game of call my bluff, and laughs in the face of the hopeful and gullible, who believe his guarantees and promises. He treats them with callous disdain and likes to kick them when they are down, to tread all over them.
A government representative of its people is better run, more meritocratic, and helps achieve equity. It creates and implements more inclusive policies and elevates a diverse set of role models. Leaders from diverse backgrounds often develop more creative insights, proffer alternative and comprehensive solutions and thus make decisions that better serve their people.
Johnson does not appoint MPS , Ministers on merit, talent and experience. He appoints those that say “yes Boris”. His Education Minister is a former fireplace salesman. Raab came out of Jesus College Cambridge as a lawyer with Linklaters but quickly became a diplomat. Also most of the cabinet are millionaires, and privately educated in public schools.
Just because someone went to Oxford or Cambridge does not make them an intelligent, caring individual, wanting to represent their constituents and do well for the nation and it’s people. Johnson and Co are in it for personal gain, for self and vested interests. They are not interested in 99% of the population of this country, even if they are tory voters. The 99% are treated with contempt, because they show their subservience and ignorance.
Most of the 99% are easy to control by the Tory Press and the Tory Propaganda they are fed and believe every word they cling to.
You only have to look at Brexit and Red Wall voters to see that. Yet still these Boris supporters herd around like sheep waiting for the bell to ring, wearing blinkers of see, hear and speak no evil, no dissent about their wonderful leader. There is another flock, a different breed of sheep, that masochistically , accept, accept, accept, whatever is dished out to them in their apathy. They think no point in complaining because no one will listen. Well no one can listen to a silent acceptance.
It is what happened in Germany, Spain and Italy in the 1930’s 90 years ago. The intellectuals were marginalised. The crowd swelled to nationalism and fascism, and dictators took over to subvert the population. The countries became police states, failed states, bent of war and tyranny.
Boris Britain is history repeating itself, because there are too many with no fight in them, no spirit, ignorant of what is going on. They prefer escapism in soap operas, to the real world which is too depressing for them. Those that do want to protest can easily be silenced by draconian legislation.
More civilian deaths than the Germans managed in World War 2. More taxation since that same war, more food banks than Mcdonalds. Build Better, Level Up, Take Back Control, all sales pitches that are completely meaningless.
This is Boris Brexit Britain, Boris is sucking it’s potential, not unleashing it, and sharing it out to his chums.
And he does not give a damn.
